Taking advantage of the College’s state-of-the-art facilities, Argyle’s first team carried out their end-of-season testing in the College’s strength and conditioning gym. The Pilgrims were put through their paces on four different machines with data gathered being used as a benchmark for players’ fitness, allowing the Coach and the rest of the back-room staff to analyse the squad’s fitness when they return from their end-of-season break in the summer.
One Plymouth offered a unique opportunity during MTV Music Week for our media students to join their team in experiencing live events media coverage first hand. The students carried out a range of social media activities and interviewed the stars!
Our sports students supported Event West’s annual running series by offering sports massage to those competing, handing out water bottles and medals, managing the bagging area, and marshalling the races.
Travel and tourism students helped the Destination Plymouth team to host the annual Tourism and Visitor Economy Conference. They managed the registration desk and cloakroom, acted as guides, and one student was responsible for ensuring that the speakers kept to their allotted time slots!
